July is dehydration awareness month.  For residents of Arizona temperatures start heating up as early as May and June, making it necessary to hydrate earlier and more often.  Living in the desert presents an increased threat of dehydration, which can quickly lead to serious health issues, especially for seniors. Arizona has administered more than 6 million Covid-19 vaccines since December and Adobe Care and Wellness is proud to be a part of the vaccination effort. As more vaccination sites opened and vaccines became more readily available, it’s no longer necessary to go online and book an appointment or drive long distances to get vaccinated. Vaccines are now being administered at local pharmacies, doctors’ offices and neighborhood clinics. Yet, there are still individuals and have challenges getting to those locations. That is where Adobe Care and Wellness is stepping in to help. Collaborating with insurance providers and organizations that we are contracted with, we are identifying individuals that may not have the ability to get to a vaccine site and reaching out to provide a mobile vaccine service – sending nurses to homes to administer Covid-19 vaccines. It’s been more than a year since the most devastating global health crisis of the 21st century began and today we are finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. To celebrate this triumph, National Nurses Week was expanded into a month-long celebration to tribute the people who help care for millions of people every day.
